Leather Sources
I try to use recycled or ethically sourced leather, but this is not always possible nor financially feasible. If I can take an already-existing leather product and reuse it, I will do so. Organic listings are made with leather from humanely raised animals, using eco- and worker-friendly processing methods.
Privacy
I take your privacy seriously. Customer information is managed in accordance with my Privacy Policy.
Packaging
I use biodegradable and recycled packaging and padding for shipments when possible.
Pricing
Thank you for not feeling compelled to email me about how expensive you think a one-of-a-kind handcrafted item in my shop is priced.
Services Available
I do chainmaille, tapestry beading, cross-stitch, and figurative painting and can incorporate those into leather pieces.
I do repairs, but I don’t make copies of items other craftspersons’ designs. If you have an old leather satchel or other piece, please submit photos and I’ll let you know whether I can help you. Restoration samples provided on request.
Payment
I accept payments securely using PayPal. Custom orders may require a deposit and a signed agreement, especially if you order an item of significant value which I cannot resell.
Shipping
I offer a variety of USPS First Class and Flat Rate options, including APO/FPO and international (if you do not see a viable shipping option, please contact me). I offer local pickup to Southcentral Alaska customers on the road system.
Refunds and Exchanges
If you are dissatisfied with your purchase, I will offer you an item in exchange within 30 days. Shipping will not be refunded.
Guarantee
Repairs to my own work are free within the first year, if I have made a mistake in my design; all you need do is pay postage. This does not include replacing worn out leather: leather just wears, and you need to take care of it so it will last many years or decades. I will happily refurbish my own work for a fee. Full guarantees depend upon the item. Sometimes recycled, vintage, combined, and found materials can be unstable; and I do a lot of experimentation. Please ask upon purchase. No guarantees on used items!
