Description
One-of-a-kind, 100% handmade matte-finish 5/7 oz oxblood (burgundy) latigo leather saddlebags with original artwork. This heavy-duty cowhide is soft to the touch because it is drum dyed and dipped in hot oils and hand-rubbed. Condition it every six months. The side and bottom panel is made with a cool wrinkly burgundy upholstery hide.
The artwork is a partial skull and roses on one flap. The opposite flap opens to reveal a ranch brand, and the leather in general has some cool scars. These saddlebags are hand-cut, -punched, -sewn, -assembled, and -painted. Overall I spent 50 hours on this set. Features copper hardware, including rivets and burrs, trigger snaps, and antique cart buckles from Wyoming. Also features black saddle string grommets.
These saddlebags earned a ribbon in the Alaska State Fair.
