Description
Anyone who knows cowboy boots know that Olathe boots are among the best, and the Olathe Boot Company history dates back to 1875. These great boots are men’s 10D [10.5625” foot length] in black cowhide with hand-done red piping and side welts, plus red quarter and vamp stitching, including toe medallion.
I would call these “vintage,” but all Olathe boots are amazing quality and I won’t claim that this time period is better than any other for their boots, which is why I am sticking with “pre-owned.” Original purchase in early 2000s at Red’s in Pendleton, Oregon— a town that is famous for its woolen mills and its annual rodeo, the Pendleton Round-Up, held since 1910.
Soft black leather vamp and shaft with sturdy pullstraps and scallop/dip. The L semi-rounded toe slips easily into stirrups. Leather outsoles, with stock riding heel with rawhide counter, spur ledge/ridge, and rubber heel cap for anti-slip. Left heel has a small damage spot, like a gouge. This is a slanted heel for stability in stirrups. Still in nice shape and built to last. You can have these fantastic boots refurbished or outright recrafted by Olathe for a reasonable price; so you will get many, many years out of them. Boot numbers: 37 188739 7053Z.
